What exactly is working class now? In Marx’s day, the division were clear and obvious. Factory owner. Factory worker. It’s not nearly so obvious now. Here in US, a union carpenter in NYC makes $95 an hour, yet technically is working class. I doubt they feel exploited.
Does the working class feel exploited, and will it operate as an organized entity? I’m pretty sure the answer to that is No. And without that, the entire infrastructure of Marxist thought collapses. But they continue to pretend it hasn’t.
